||The Sault Ste. Marie Public Health Laboratory requires a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform laboratory tests. You will: conduct standardized medical/clinical tests and procedures; report and discuss results with clients; carry out established quality control procedures and maintain equipment and supplies; provide technical assistance to Senior Technologist and Manager, in carrying out testing and/or special projects.
|Knowledge and Skills
||Knowledge of current principles and practices of Clinical, Environmental, Microbiology, Virology and Parasitology.
A good working knowledge of and the ability to perform medical laboratory techniques/procedures.
|Education and Experience
||Ability to operate laboratory equipment; knowledge of and ability to apply laboratory safety practices.
Practicing Certificate of Registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario in the discipline of Microbiology.
