Title Branch Manager - Squamish Branch
Summary We are currently looking for an experienced Branch Manager with proven business development and leadership skills to join NSCU's Squamish branch.

Under broad managerial direction, this position is responsible for managing the overall operations of the branch in keeping with corporate strategy to ensure growth, profitability, business development, and operational excellence.
Description •Provides effective sales and service leadership to branch staff in keeping with the Member Intimacy strategy, to ensure growth, profitability, staff development and operational excellence. Resolves complex issues/complaints referred by staff.

•Initiates action to improve growth/development of the branch loan and deposit portfolios; pursues new business.

•Establishes individual and team sales, service and financial objectives with branch staff ensuring these are understood and results achieved. Regularly reviews objectives and initiates corrective coaching where appropriate.

•Provides overall leadership, coaching, and mentoring to branch staff to assist them in achieving success. Manages Member Services Manager, Financial Advisor, Sales Assistant, and MSR III employees directly.

•Supports continuous learning for branch staff to ensure career growth and succession planning. Responsible for the successful implementation of employee retention strategies.

•Keeps staff informed of organizational and branch goals, results, changes, and developments.

•Establishes and maintains effective teamwork with branch staff to ensure an effective, productive and efficient team.

•Develops, implements, and manages annual business plan goals and objectives to achieve branch growth and profitability. Develops and manages annual branch operating budget.

•Ensures branch compliance with audit and security standards, policies and procedures. Maintains loan and investment quality. Responsible for conducting commission audit activities for Financial Advisors to ensure accuracy.

•Ensures branch processes and quality controls are in place and maintained according to the Quality Management Audit Guide. Reviews and implements process improvements as required.

•Approves loans and mortgages within assigned lending limits.

•Maintains a thorough knowledge of NSCU products, services, policies and procedures as it pertains to branch operations.

•Keeps informed on competitive situations, industry trends, activities in trade area, and general information of interest to members to continue to proactively meet members’ needs.

•Plays an active leadership role in the community to project a positive image for NSCU and generate business-building opportunities.
