Our Vancouver based client in the health care industry is looking for a Senior/Lead Developer to work on a project called CareConnect which provides users with multiple sources of clinical information on a 24/7 basis. This product is being redeveloped with a new user interface and additional functionality with a target release date of March 2013. The target start date is Dec 1st for an initial 4 month contract with the possibility of extension.

| Responsibilities / Responsabilités |
As part of the eHealth technical team, undertake new development projects by:
• Applying robust design principles and utilizing extensive knowledge of architectural best practices. Principles include: UML based development artifacts, Modular code, Reusability, Standards based, Apply best practices to the development of application program code.
• Ensure documentation of all eHealth applications and identify the required development tools and work with the Development Lead on their acquisition.
• Working with systems and business analysts to develop technical specifications from business systems designs.
• Producing the required technical design and architectural documentation.
• Developing .Net code to specification using the Microsoft suite of tools including:
Visual Studio, SQL Server Client Tools, C#, C++, ASP.NET, HTML & Java Script and other programming languages as needed, Web Services (WCF) and SQL report services.
• Unit and integration tests for all software and remediate as required.
• Migrate new development from development to QA and then other environments according to the current release plan.
• Manage code and maintain versioning according to project standards.
• Participate in the revision or design of new architectural components.
• Participate in project plan development and revision.
• Provide support to the CareConnect team including : Troubleshoot CareConnect and related applications Consult with and support the deployment team and clinical analysts : Provide feedback to CareConnect Clinical and Business Analysts : Mentor peers and junior staff and provide consultation with management
• Take on additional assignments as required by the Manager, eHealth Technical Services, or Development Lead, or Lead Developer.
• Provide support and direction for the design of the development of the Share Health Record.

• Experience with BC eHealth project desirable.
