Position Overview / Vue d’ensemble du poste As a member of the National Enterprise Solutions group, the Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for liaising with account managers, vendors and clients directly to identify client requirements, assess work effort, provide specialized expertise in their field and collaborate with both internal and external resources to build solutions during the pre-sales cycle. The Technical Sales Specialist shares in the responsibility within the sales team to deliver on contractual commitments to clients and ensure outstanding customer satisfaction

Responsibilities / Responsabilités 1.Identify customers’ needs and design innovative solutions in view of addressing those needs.
2.Obtain and maintain required technical certifications, current industry knowledge of emerging IT technologies;
3.Evangelize Metafore’s portfolio of technical solutions;
4.Cooperate with various account managers to identify and nurture sales opportunities ;
5.Contribute to business intelligence within the Services group;
6.Continuously keep informed of pertinent business, IT industry and account related news to maximize effectiveness;
7.Ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Requirements / Exigences • Solid understanding and experience with HP technologies including: HP Servers (both standard & blade), HP Networking & HP StorageWorks
• HP Networking ASE Advanced Networking & Security certification preferred
• Specialization and/or certifications with other Key Vendors such as Cisco (CCNA, CCNP or CCIE) & Microsoft (MCSE) preferred
• Solid networking skills with various other vendor solutions
• Solid understanding of the Enterprise Data Center Environment, LAN/WAN environments & Network Security
• Solid understanding of the vendor bid registration process
• Exceptional presentation, pre-sales technical communication, negotiation and influencing skills
• Ability to proactively build and maintain relationships with key architects with our partners
• University degree within an Information Systems or Engineering discipline;
• Minimum of 3-7 years of experience within a pre-sales role and/or technical services environment, demonstrating progressively more responsibilities, with history of significant accomplishments;
• Strong PC-based skills, including MS Project, Visio, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word;
• Strong business acumen with the ability to apply that knowledge to a variety of industries;
• Some travel as required may be necessary
• Understanding of existing and emerging trends;
• Effective interpersonal skills, with emphasis on listening, verbal and written communication capabilities;
• Effective planning, organizational and project management skills;
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
• Strong initiative and outstanding work ethic;
• Common sense and good judgment;
• Uncompromising integrity
