Position Overview Network Specialists work with Solution Architects to master the art of technology and solution consulting where tight relations are formed with clients who value strong technical expertise and advice. Network Specialists will assist in designated audit, design, and deployment activities while enabling the transition of projects from presales, to delivery and handoff to the Operations team as the client project needs dictate. The Network Specialist provides pre-sales technical support and develops the expertise to analyze customer requirements and existing network and system capabilities in order to ensure that the resulting technical solutions fully accomplish the customer’s objectives.
In this role, you will be expected to work independently on a wide range of tasks including:
• Providing product and technical solution knowledge in support of the sales team for all products and services offered by our client 
• Working to support the efforts of the Solution Architects and Sales team to develop a response to customer RFPs
• Working with the Sales team on client proposals including the specification of presales deliverables (BOM, SOW, Diagrams & Supporting Documentation)
• Working as a resource for the Project Management team to execute the roadmap and milestones for each project as a member of the Delivery and Implementation teams
• Meeting with, and presenting to, customers in both pre-sales and consulting opportunities.
• Providing industry-superior consulting expertise to customers requesting assistance in the deployment of network architectures, technologies, and business practices.
• Working with Solution Architects to master the art of developing complex network designs and highly detailed test plans
• Developing a keen understanding of the leading technologies used to develop new services and solutions thru self-driven learning initiatives.
• Preference given for Bachelor’s Degree in field related to Computing Sciences and 2+ years of IT industry experience
• Experience in large scale networking environments desirable with preference given for large Service Provider environments
• Minimum 1 year experience in networking to include Routing and Switching
• Wireless and Basic Security experience is desirable
• In-depth technical knowledge of Ethernet, IP, BGP, OSPF and Network Standards.
• Knowledge of MPLS (Infrastructure as well as L2VPN, VPLS, and L3VPN services), QoS, and typical Layer 2 and Layer 3 services is an asset.
• Experience with Internet peering including BGP routing and policy
• Configuration and trouble-shooting experience with common service provider network platforms including Juniper, Cisco, and MRV.
• Superior technical documentation and presentation skills.
• Industry certification with preference to Juniper JNCIE, JNCIP, JNCIS, or JNCIA
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Project-related experience required
• Willing to be mentored by senior team members
• Capable of operating independently with minimal supervision
