Title Business Development - Investments
Position Overview Our client is seeking a senior sales professional of the highest order to join its Calgary Office. You are a sales professional who has a passion and determination to win and possess exceptional selling skills. You must be able to build the business in the marketplace by sourcing new clients direct from the market, sourcing prospects from centers of influences and other channels in the market place, and to build relationships with key stakeholders within the industry.
Responsibilities -Attracting new clients and assets to the firm on an annual basis.
-Development of new business opportunities through referrals from centers of influence, networking opportunities, prospect calls and other creative marketing strategies.
-Effectively communicating the firm’s investment strategy and ensuring that centers of influences and prospects understand the company’s investment philosophy in the context of the market.
-Become known as an industry expert by finding solutions to clients’ investment challenges.
-Work as a part of the client management team to develop, implement and maintain effective sales strategies and goals.
-Providing input and leadership around the business with respect to future growth initiatives.
Requirements -Exceptional communication skills, an engaging and professional presence, the desire to excel, and be a team player.
-Strong customer service skills commensurate with the expectations of high net worth clients.
-Broad knowledge of investment products and portfolio management.
-Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a fast paced environment.
-Industry courses such as the CIM, CFP, and CFA are an asset but not required.
