Position Overview
The Township of Langley is regularly seeking applicants to augment auxiliary positions for Recreation Worker VI – Yoga Instructor to join our team of professionals in the Recreation, Culture, and Parks Division.
Summary of Duties These auxiliary positions’ hours of work are varied, including evening classes. It is essential that the ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, is energetic and enthusiastic, is well organized and is able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all levels of internal and external contacts.
These auxiliary positions’ will lead a variety of Yoga classes for the Walnut Grove Community Centre, W.C. Blair Recreation Centre, Willowbrook Recreation Centre, Aldergrove Kinsmen Centre and the Willoughby Community Centre, located in the Langley Events Centre.
Required Qualifications Successful candidates must have completed a yoga instruction course, as well as have a current Emergency First Aid and CPR certificate.  Pre and post-natal yoga experience and/or additional apparatus training would be an asset. 
This position is defined by the Township of Langley as a position of trust (Child Safety) and requires a criminal record check.
