Position Title Community Centre Attendant (Temporary Part Time)
Position Overview
Must be able to work flexible hours including daytime, evening, weekend and holiday shifts including multiple shifts up to 24 hours per week
Must have proven ability to work independently with an ability to manage multiple tasks and job functions
Must have proven communication, problem solving, and customer service skills to work effectively with the public, staff, and volunteers in a diverse community setting
Must have a working knowledge of computers in order to take registrations, perform cash handling, process payments, and provide community information to patrons
Must have mathematical skills and the ability to reconcile funds for Neighbourhood Association and City monies collected during shift
Must be a highly motivated individual with strong judgment who can work independently and responsibly in assessing and responding to situations.
Must have the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Must have a secondary school diploma
Must have 6 months related experience
Must have current Standard First Aid Certification or be willing to obtain prior to start date
Must have physical ability to perform duties requiring lifting and moving of equipment, shoveling, cleaning etc.
Experience with administration, volunteer groups, and community programming would be an asset
·      Ensure safe and efficient operation of the Community Resource Centre
·      Provide positive customer service in all aspects of job functions
·      Provide general office assistance as directed by centre staff
·      Provide general facility upkeep
·      Performs patron program registration functions
·      Attends to rentals on assigned shifts and performs all related rental duties
·      Perform other related duties as assigned
Temporary part-time up to 24 hours per week
Varied shifts include daytime, evening, weekends and holidays – flexible hours required
