| Position Overview |
Working on a variety of Structural Infrastructure Projects in and around the Burnaby area as part of a team of professional engineers and technologists, the incumbent will utilize their knowledge and experience to contribute to a variety of structural projects ranging from conceptual design to construction services. The incumbent for this role will have a strong interest and some direct hands-on experience with bridge projects. |
| Responsibilities |
• Completion of various CAD drafting and computer-aided design tasks for the structural engineering group
• Quantity estimation and material specification
• Responsible for preliminary cost estimates and basic contract administration
• Liaison with client and project management team
• Completion of onsite construction inspections

| Requirements |
• Completion of a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology
• Accredited or eligible for accreditation with ASTTBC
• 2 to 5 years of structural bridge drafting experience and some construction experience in bridge projects, preferred
• A strong working knowledge of spreadsheets, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D
• Highly organized and comfortable working in a fast paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure Standards, preferred
