Position Title INM Editor
Position Category Project Management
Overview Provides primary editorial support to brand in network marketing model, managing projects subject to medical/regulatory/legal (CCR) review for GSW Worldwide as well as outside vendors. Attends CCR meetings to address any content-related issues/questions. Captures revisions requested in CCR and assists account services in communicating changes to the core team. Understands bigger picture, has strong commitment to the successful evolution of the network marketing model as well as department and leadership objectives.
Description of Duties - Responsible for overall accuracy, quality, and consistency of content across all pieces developed - Ensures compliance with brand, regulatory, legal, and corporate standards - Writes, updates, and distributes brand guidelines, incorporating medical/regulatory/legal requirements as well as client preferences - Confers with project owner on when to involve CCR for a consult prior to approval - Evaluates readiness of items submitted for CCR; ensures projects meet critical CCR requirements prior to being added to agenda - Provides assistance with language modifications as necessary based on CCR comments - Oversees revisions resulting from CCR reviews; uploads completed work using MRM (Marketing Resource Management) tool - Approves all stages through final art and printer’s proofs as necessary - Consults with internal medical resources to confirm scientific content/ claims are substantiated by supporting data - Works closely with account service and creative service team members to foster practices/processes that will maximize outcome of changeover to new model
Minimum Requirements - BA in English or journalism or equivalent experience required - 10 years of editing experience required - Scientific, medical, pharmaceutical, or technical background preferred - Excellent writing, oral, and interpersonal skills - Strong technical, organizational, and analytical skills; is a critical thinker and applies that function to tasks at hand - Excellent grasp of mechanical/layout issues - Ability to work independently, as well as closely with copywriters, artists, and account executives, in a team-oriented environment - Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight timelines - Flexibility to work successfully in a fast-paced environment Key Competencies for Position: - Technical Expertise: Excellent command of English language; ability to apply it to writing generated by other professionals - Attention to Detail: Using thorough approach, edits accurately under tight timelines - Motivation: Looks for new challenges, has enthusiasm, and can motivate others through own interest in doing a good job - Critical Thinking: Examines the short- and long-term outcomes of a solution; possesses the perception and insight leading to good judgment - Quality Management: Takes ownership of every project to produce the highest quality work and demonstrates follow-through to accomplish that goal
