||Business Development Specialist
||GSW Worldwide - Columbus
||Responsible for supporting the day-to-day business development workload, executing special projects, and serving as back-up for Director of Business Development and VP/Business Development.
|Description of Duties
||Regarding pitches, responsible for: - Participating in pitch development meetings as well as generating job requisitions, action requests, and conference reports/recaps as directed. - Requesting estimates for pitches and assessing costs on an ongoing basis. - Working with research and media to gather company, product, and competitive intelligence and samples for pitches; using existing services to pull reports and information (ie, The List Online, Datamonitor). - Scheduling internal and external meetings and coordinate all travel and rehearsal needs for pitches, as needed. - Working with core teams and central business development, develop draft PowerPoint presentation decks. - Serving as the primary back-up for Directors of Business Development or VP/Business Development as requested. - Working with Creative Coordinators to coordinate and resolve deadlines for all projects to ensure that jobs are organized and completed on time. - Assisting with Pitch Checklist development and execution. - Assisting with making editor changes and finalizing materials. - Traveling with the core pitch team and central business development reps to provide on-site support. Regarding Requests for Information, responsible for: - Participating in RFI kick-off meetings as well as generating job requisitions, action requests, and conference reports/recaps as directed. - Requesting estimates for RFIs and assessing costs on an ongoing basis. - Gathering company, product, and competitive intelligence to incorporate into RFI development; using existing services to pull reports and information (ie, The List Online, Datamonitor). - Pulling information from the SANT System and other resources to assist in the development of RFI responses. - Serving as the primary back-up for Directors of Business Development or VP/Business Development as requested. - Working with Creative Coordinators to coordinate and resolve deadlines for all projects to ensure that jobs are organized and completed on time. - Assisting with making editor changes and finalizing materials. Regarding general department operations, responsible for: - Populating and managing the New Business Closet, SalesNexus, and other databases as needed. - Tracking the status of all business development jobs, review master list with team to determine jobs to be opened and closed; update status and project list weekly. - Executing daily business development needs, including answering global biz dev hotline, responding to web site biz dev inquiries or taking appropriate action to triage an opportunity. - Maintaining and updating reports (ie, agency client list, win/loss report). - Handling adminstrative duties for the department, including faxes, copies, and PDFs as requested. - Assisting with special projects as requested.
||Minimum Qualifications & Skills Required: - College degree in relevant field (marketing, business, advertising, communications) - 3+ years relevant experience in agency or client-side marketing position with solid project management experience. - Excellent project management and communication skills - Strong proofreading skills with attention to detail - Knowledge of general pharmaceutical or consumer marketing and sales.
