Overview The Digital Media Planner is responsible for managing day-to-day media activities for our small-to-medium sized clients in order to help achieve the clients’ media goals and objectives. This role assists the Sr. Digital Media Planners and helps supervise the Media Associates and Coordinators in creating and managing the media plans for inVentiv Media’s clients. This position reports to the Media Supervisor and takes the lead in developing tactical and executing media plans and campaigns.
Description of Duties Media Planning
o Oversee pre-planning research providing direction on reports and parameters
o Pull competitive analysis reports using industry tools such as Kantar and comScore
o Develop the RFP documents outlining our campaign objectives and strategy and informing publishers what is needed to help reach those goals
o Devise rationale for the site consideration list and communicate with those sites
o Evaluation of proposals to meet our objectives, audience, eCPM/CPC goals, and unique opportunities. Giving sites feedback, revisions, and negotiating costs/opportunities.
o Lead and build recommendation deck and media plans by forming solid recommendation rationale, creating media plan overviews, and providing supporting evidence of the recommendation
o Responsible for issuing insertion orders and working with publishers to ensure adherence to terms and conditions
o Act as a liaison between client/agency and the publishers
o Regularly maintain budget documents, spec sheets, flowcharts, and planning sheets in a timely manner
o Analyze new opportunities/develop media POVs to share with clients and internal teams

Client Relationships
o Presenting media recommendations, plans and reports to account team and clients
o Relationship management with account teams and clients

Billing & Analytics
o Drive timelines so that all reporting needs are met
o Verify all billing reports are accurate and that invoices match our billing reports
o Resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner
o Analyze report data and commentary, provide constructive feedback, and use the learnings to help optimize and leverage better opportunities and/or placements
Minimum Requirements Experience
o 1 - 3 years of media planning and digital media experience
o Strong media planning and project management experience
o Experience working cross functional to create integrated media plans
o Experience building a comprehensive media plan with strong ability to negotiate
o Advanced computer knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint)
o Experience with third party ad server such as DoubleClick
