Position Title Brand Strategy Manager

Overview Manage production and certain oversight aspects of Addison Whitney’s Brand Strategy Department including associate(s) and projects, from proposal phase to final recommendations. Projects include the following at the corporate, divisional and product levels: brand equity assessments, brand positioning and messaging, brand portfolio strategy, brand architecture strategy, nomenclature strategy and brand implementation strategy.
Description of Duties Internal Responsibilities
 Conduct project scoping calls with consultants to understand client challenges and needs
 Work with consultants to determine the appropriate project steps and pricing for potential clients
 Advise project managers during proposal development
 Assist in development of pitch presentations for potential brand strategy clients
 Provide training to brand strategy associates, project managers and others within the organization on principles of brand strategy and best practices
 Manage the flow of work of multiple projects to ensure that deadlines are met and quality standards adhered to
 Continually improve the quality and types of strategy products Addison Whitney can offer its clients

External Responsibilities
 Work with consultants to pitch Addison Whitney’s brand strategy capabilities to potential clients, in person and/or by telephone
 Create internal and external interview questionnaires and conduct executive, employee and customer interviews
 Conduct internal and external brand audits and present findings
 Review and analyze existing research and present findings
 Develop brand strategy workshops and lead workshop activities in conjunction with consultants
 Assist in the coping and development of brand equity assessment research and questionnaires
 Develop brand strategy options for clients that reflect their business strategy; projects include brand positioning and messaging, brand portfolio strategy, brand architecture strategy, nomenclature strategy and brand implementation strategy
 Analyze and interpret primary market research data to identify potential brand strategy opportunities for clients
 Conduct analysis of potential brand strategy options to identify the most viable option(s)
 Develop presentations outlining strategy options, recommendations and analysis for clients
 Help consultants present and defend research findings and recommended strategies
 Take part in ongoing review calls with the client’s project team
 Develop presentations to aid clients in securing executive buy-in for recommended strategies
 Develop brand launch plans
 Develop final client products/deliverables, including brand education, guidelines for positioning, messaging and portfolio strategy, brand decision trees, brand strategy implementation and product naming guidelines
 Work with consultant to ensure projects are satisfactorily concluded
