Title #2013-121 Office Manager
Position Summary Under the direction of the Director, Campus Services, the Office Manager is accountable for providing confidential administrative support to the Director and the Campus Services management team, including: Conference Services, Food Services and Student Residences. The incumbent ensures that correspondence, contracts/agreements, reports, budgets, websites and social media sites are accurate and of a high quality, professional standard. The Office Manager arranges and provides follow-up for, as well as participates in, various committees, focus groups, etc., at the discretion of the Director. He/she is responsible for internal and external relations and communications on behalf of the Campus Services Department.
Qualifications The successful candidate will have a minimum of a two year diploma in office administration or equivalent along with a minimum of 3 years of related experience. Knowledge and familiarity with college operations and organizational structure and working experience in a college environment or the hospitality sector would be considered advantageous. In addition, the preferred candidate will have excellent interpersonal communication skills; highly developed customer service/dispute resolution skills; excellent comprehension, writing and editing skills; and the ability to work independently on most day-to-day administrative tasks. In addition, knowledge of Drupal (website maintenance), Facebook and Twitter applications, as well as working knowledge of College internal systems such as Banner Financial System would be considered an asset. Computer literacy (Ms Office, Adobe) and demonstrated discretion and confidentiality are required for this position.
