||#2013-140 Collections and Technical Services Librarian
||The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of library collections in all formats including print, digital, and multimedia. The incumbent is also responsible for the management of serials (print and electronic) and technical services. Duties also include general reference and information services and class instruction.
||The successful candidate will possess a Master’s Degree in Library Science or Information Studies that is accredited by the joint Canadian Library Association/American Library Association. Experience in collection development (acquisitions budgets, collection profiles, and negotiations with vendors), management of serials, government documents, and technical services is necessary. Additional qualifications include: a minimum of three years of professional experience providing library services, preferably in an academic library setting; strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated teaching abilities; creative thinking, problem solving, interpersonal and customer service skills; proven commitment to work in a team environment; demonstrated ability to multi-task a variety of responsibilities and projects and be adaptable within a variety of professional contexts.
