||Under the direction of the Manager, the incumbent supports sales for summer accommodations in student residences as well as year round conference services in all Humber facilities at the North and Lakeshore Campuses. Duties involve supporting the day-to-day administrative functions associated with the department which include: responding to inquiries regarding conference facilities and services, providing tours to potential clients, communicating with internal service providers to ensure clients’ requirements are satisfied and attending to any issues or concerns during conference events.
||The successful candidate will possess a two year diploma in Hospitality & Tourism, Hotel Management, Event Planning or Business along with one year of experience in a role with responsibilities in hotel sales or coordinating event logistics. Additional qualifications include: excellent communication, organizational and problem solving abilities; proficiency with MS Office, as well as email/internet; website design/maintenance and experience processing financial transactions. The incumbent may be required to travel to trade shows and conferences. Access to a vehicle will be considered an asset.
||Hours of Work: 35 hours per week – Evening and weekend work and on-call availability may be required at times.
Majority of vacation is taken during off-peak season.
