Title #2013-106 Communication Coordinator
Position Summary Under general direction of the Manager, Advancement & Alumni Relations, the incumbent will serve as editor and lead the development and production of Humber dialogue – our semi-annual alumni communications magazine with a circulation of 60,000. Duties will include but not be limited to: establishing and adhering to timelines; overseeing story selection, design, and photography; writing, conducting interviews; editing and reviewing stories; liaising regularly with designer and printing house. The incumbent will also ensure promotion of the magazine occurs and that inventory is shared with the Humber community.
Qualifications The successful candidate will possess a degree in Marketing, Journalism or Public Relations along with two years of experience in a related capacity. Addition qualifications include: superior communication skills, project management experience, and strong attention to detail is required. Computer literacy is required, with knowledge of e-mail software, and Microsoft Office Suite. The ability to work well under pressure while demonstrating confidence and good judgment is required.
