||Reporting to the Director, and in accordance with established guidelines set out in the Day Nurseries Act (1984), The Operating Criteria for Child Care Centres (1997) and Public Health and Fire Regulations, the Cook/Nutritionist plans, prepares, cooks and distributes well balanced and nutritious meals. In consultation with the Centre Supervisor and/or Director, meals are prepared in accordance with all dietary, developmental, medical and religious restrictions. The Cook/Nutritionist must maintain a clean, organized and sanitary kitchen by meeting all Public Health standards, establish and maintain positive liaisons with families, assist with answering phones and redirecting incoming calls, and provide assistance with laundering clothes and linens.
||The successful candidate will possess a certificate in a related field as well as one to two years of related experience, including experience in menu planning and implementation in a Child Care/Group setting. This position requires a successful Police Criminal Record Check, including vulnerable population clearance, and successful completion of medical and TB/Chest X-Ray.
