Title #2012-979 Access Control Coordinator
Position Summary Under the direction of the Manager, Security Systems, the incumbent makes recommendations for the ongoing improvement, implementation, administration and monitoring and maintenance of all physical and electronic security systems for Humber College and University of Guelph-Humber. This includes security, parking, card access, keys & locks and CCTV systems. The incumbent is also responsible for maintaining public safety’s radios, emergency phones, electronic key boxes, Lenel access control and CCTV video management systems. In addition, the incumbent coordinates the maintenance of the security server, network video recorders, and performs daily monitoring of the integrity of all public safety systems.
Qualifications The successful candidate will possess a minimum 3 year college diploma in Electronic Technology or related,
3 years of experience working in a large facility dealing with multiple types of technology for security, as well as certification in Lenel software (master certified preferred) and Access control systems. The incumbent will preferably have OACETT standing, Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists accreditations. Additional qualifications include knowledge of CCTV systems, Electronic Access controls and privacy legislation.
Notes Duration of Need: 6 month contract
