||Business Degree Placement Advisor
||Reporting to the Associate Dean, the Business Placement Advisor is a proactive team member in the Business School responsible for field practice, business job placement and employment services to graduating business students. The incumbent will assist and prepare students for their work placements and for the labour market through: employment advising, job search training, lectures and seminars, external marketing of students and graduates to employers and the business community; internal liaison with college departments; on-going labour market research and assessment; and maintaining a database on cooperating employers. The incumbent will also develop and maintain a database of graduating students.
||The successful candidate will possess an undergraduate degree along with a minimum of two years of practical experience in one or more of the following areas: Human Resources, recruitment or employment services. Additional qualifications include: excellent communication, time management and conflict resolution skills, including tact and diplomacy; excellent public speaking and presentation skills; excellent group facilitation skills; excellent computer skills; the ability to analyze needs, resolve problems, multi-task and set priorities. A demonstrated ability to read, interpret and report on statistical data and the ability to work independently and as a team member is also required.
