| Position Summary |
Primarily, the successful candidate will plan, implement and manage continuing education programs offered in the School of Health Sciences, as well as lead a team responsible for promoting and managing a wide range of learning solutions, incorporating customized curriculum development and delivery strategies with an emphasis on e-learning within the health and related sectors. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for selecting, hiring, orienting and evaluating part-time faculty; maintaining program quality within available resources; establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships within the health care and child care industry partners; and adhering to Humber’s strategic direction. |
| Qualifications |
The successful candidate will have graduate credentials, with doctoral preparation (either completed or in progress) in Nursing Science being preferred as well as teaching experience, including specialty area practice, and must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Additional qualifications include: a demonstrated understanding of, and competency in the teaching/learning within the breadth of health sciences programming with a learner centred approach; a demonstrated commitment to team and inter/intra-professional collaboration within a scholarly community; a primary health care philosophy and innovative educational approach; and superior leadership, interpersonal, negotiation, facilitation and communication skills. |
