||Manager, Integrated Client Technology
||Reporting to the Director, Technology Services, the Manager, Integrated Client Technology oversees the provision of key technical services to enable employees, students, and guests to access Humber computing resources within a complex, yet secure and highly available technologic environment. These responsibilities include technical & business planning, project management, operational delivery, and advanced technical support services. The incumbent will be responsible for directing the technology architecture, technology plans, and operations for all client-facing technologies within the classroom and within the corporate environment. He/she will lead a team of highly skilled and specialized technical staff to execute the overall technology plan and will work in collaboration with internal clients and peers to deliver on Humber’s overall mission, vision, and strategy.
The Manager, Integrated Client Technology will be specifically accountable and responsible for the overall architecture and design of several client-facing technology platforms including desktop computing (Windows and Mac), printing, mobile computing platforms, corporate email, central login, Public Safety systems, anti-malware, and corporate documentation platforms. He/she will also be responsible for key Academic Enterprise Applications including LMS (Blackboard), student email, and for the provisioning and support of curriculum-specific software while ensuring these systems work effectively with classroom multimedia systems. Furthermore, this person will be a key driver for new client facing technology at Humber including but not limited to Virtual Desktops, File Sync and Share, mobile printing, and other mobile technologies in both the classroom and corporate environment.
||The preferred candidate will hold a degree in Information Technology Management (or equivalent Computer Sciences degree) from a recognized educational institution and will be Foundations certified in ITILv3 (or newer). He/She will also have an at minimum 7 years working experience including at least 3 years management experience in a large IT environment and with a large client base. Experience working with a mix of internal staff and key 3rd party IT vendors to deliver overall IT services is preferred. Additional certifications in Desktop Technologies (i.e. OSX, VDI), Mobile (i.e. MDM), or process/methodology certification such as Project Management Certification (PMP) is considered an asset.
