Title #2012-258 Communication Specialist
Position Summary Reporting to the Campus Registrar, the Communications Specialist is responsible for content development, design and production management of various marketing materials and communication pieces across Registrarial Services’ including: Admissions & Recruitment, Academic Advising, Student Financial Services and Scheduling Records. The incumbent will leverage technology to create seamless student experience with a consistent look, feel and writing style throughout all communications. This position will be responsible for ensuring that consistency is maintained while adhering to design standards in all communication pieces. The incumbent will also be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships within Student Services and will also work with the managers from other departments on the design and production of additional publications (i.e. career and alumni publications, convocation materials, and serve on various institutional projects and committees/ working groups. The Communications Specialist will also work collaboratively with the Web Communications Specialist to ensure that content for the website is consistent with print materials to support institutional goals, brand and reputation.
Qualifications The successful candidate will possess a 4-year degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a marketing environment and hands-on experience with creative layout and design for print publications is required.
