Title Part-time Professor, Electrical Apprenticeship Program
Position Summary The incumbent will teach all subjects involved with the Electrical Cluster of Programs (Electrical Apprenticeship). Responsibilities include developing course material; contributing to curriculum development; and regularly revising course materials and lab experiments. The successful candidate will be committed to student learning and be comfortable working in a culturally diverse setting.
Qualifications The successful candidate will have a Certificate of Apprenticeship, and must be a 309A Electrician C of Q holder with a minimum of 10 years of progressive, sophisticated and related experience with recent experience in electronics, PLC’s and instrumentation. Previous teaching experience is an asset. Preference will be given to candidates with an academic degree in a related field.
In addition, the successful candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work in a diverse, dynamic, multicultural environment. The incumbent will develop an understanding of the learner centered approach to teaching and learning.
