||Reporting to the Manager, Campus Life & Community Judicial Affairs, the incumbent plays a primary role in the planning and implementation of student life programs at the Lakeshore campus. More specifically, the incumbent will support student development initiatives, may be a first point of contact for students who need support, coordinate activities and events including awareness campaigns, and provide leadership development opportunities and resources to various student constituents. The incumbent will market and evaluate key student life initiatives and make recommendations for growth and development of these programs, which are designed to complement in-class learning and foster a sense of campus pride.
||The successful candidate will possess a diploma or degree in a related field along with a minimum of three years of experience working in a post-secondary institute. Additional qualifications include: direct experience in Orientation, and peer programs; demonstrated effectiveness in event planning; excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; experience planning and coordinating large events; experience developing, implementing and evaluating student programs, training and modules and marketing campaigns that involve the use of new media are critical. The ability to multitask effectively and meet ongoing deadlines; solid working knowledge of MS Office suite as well as experience using Photoshop; experience in dealing with students in crisis; and the ability to work independently as well as a team member will also be considered assets.
