||#2013-014 Clinical Psychologist
||Under the general direction of the Manager, Student Wellness and Development, the incumbent is responsible for providing comprehensive clinical psychology services to the College Community in conjunction with the Health & Counselling Services Departments. The incumbent as required will assess & diagnose individuals who are coping with complex mental health issues, or provide treatment plans for individuals who arrive with a diagnosis. The incumbent will act in a consulting role, augmenting mental health services provided elsewhere in the College. Additionally, he/she will liaise with community agencies to resource ongoing support and treatment services for those individuals whose needs may fall outside of the College’s available resources.
||The successful candidate will possess a Doctorate Degree in Psychology and be a licensed practitioner in the Province of Ontario with a minimum of three years work experience. The incumbent will demonstrate; superior written and oral communication skills, have experience utilizing electronic medical records systems, display comfort with diagnostics and formal assessments and have familiarity with MS Office applications including; word and excel. In addition the successful candidate will demonstrate experience in; the direct provision of psychology services to clients, specifically with a youth population, additional experience in threat assessment and crisis management is considered a definite asset. Other qualifications include; interpersonal skills to deal with sensitive issues that may involve students, staff, faculty and the community, along with; experience working within a multidisciplinary team (i.e. physicians, other mental health professionals).
