Title International Enrolment Services Officer
Position Summary Reporting to the Manager, International Admissions and Student Services, the International Enrolment Services Officer supports the achievement of the institution’s enrolment and retention plans for the international student population. The incumbent provides a broad range of duties coordinating and implementing the admission process supporting international recruitment efforts, and providing on-going support to our international student body. The International Enrolment Officer is expected to be the subject expert on admissions for international students into his or her cluster of countries. As such, complex or non-routine issues are referred to the officer responsible for that country. The incumbent provides information and communicates with prospective students, applicants, guidance counsellors, agents, Canadian Immigration, parents, faculty and college administrators regarding a broad range of admissions related question/topics. The incumbent provides leadership and training to his/her designated work group, as well as provides support to the College’s international recruitment and admissions efforts by delivering information sessions on and off-campus. These activities require approximately four weeks of overseas travel.
Qualifications The successful candidate will possess a 4 year degree in Public Relations, Education, Business Marketing or a related field along with a minimum of two years experience. The incumbent will demonstrate superior analytical and problem solving skills, communication skills with the ability to explain complex processes. Other qualifications include thorough knowledge of the secondary school, college and university system along with educational systems of other countries. The incumbent will possess leadership skills and the ability to work independently; ability to train and motivate a team; ability to work in a cross-cultural environment while also possessing excellent organizational skills and presentation skills. Additional qualifications will include; proficiency in Microsoft office Suite and ability to develop proficiency with the student record system and the overall knowledge to work in a highly automated environment.
