||#2013-097 Community Projects Coordinator
||The function of the Community Projects Coordinator in the community Outreach & Workforce Development (COWD) Division is to support the funding resource needs for the partnership programs/projects between Humber Schools/Departments and the community. These partnerships lead the way for pathway programs such as access programs for youth, women, internationally educated individuals and the unemployed. In addition to these activities, innovative community engagement opportunities are developed with the Schools to involve their faculty and students in projects/events that are relevant to their area of study that also further address the needs of the local community. This position will provide the research, technical support and management of partnership proposals and agreements and engage with local community partners.
||The successful candidate will possess a 4 year degree in Social Work or any discipline in the Social Sciences, along with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience. The preferred candidate will have extensive knowledge of available funding sources for community/education/training and employment projects at the government, corporate and foundation level; highly developed proposal writing skills; experience in all facets of project management; and knowledge of post-secondary access programs and community employment programs and resources; and experience building effective partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders. Additional qualifications include: excellent verbal/written communication, research skills and experience, strong team player, and a good foundation in community development principles and approaches. The successful candidate will be proficient in computer software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
