||Under the general direction of the Department Head, Finance and Administration, the incumbent welcomes people to the University of Guelph-Humber, provides information about programs and services and provides support to the office of Finance and Administration. Specifically the incumbent will: field questions and enquiries from the public and prospective students and applicants regarding all facets of the university and its programs in person, by telephone, by mail and by email; schedule transportation shuttles for Guelph-Humber and University of Guelph faculty, staff TA’s and student senators; coordinate, monitor and follow-up on modifications and maintenance of the GH building; coordinate and provide logistical support for special event activities and meetings; and provide administrative support to the office of Finance and Administrative Services.
||The successful candidate will possess a certificate or diploma in Business, Public Relations, Customer Service or Social Sciences along with a minimum of two years of practical experience, preferably in a busy post-secondary office environment. Additional qualifications include: proficiency with Windows and MS Office applications; excellent communication, interpersonal and customer relation skills; demonstrated organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and interruptions. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, independent and value a team approach to accomplishing tasks.
