||The incumbent organizes, plans and coordinates instructional scheduling and delivery logistics of the Pre-Service Firefighter Education and Training full-time certificate and continuing education offerings. In addition, the incumbent updates and maintains instructor lesson plan binders to ensure that learning outcomes are current and appropriately aligned with the OFM curriculum endorsement standards, and the appropriate and most current testing instruments are included. Other duties include: ensures that all instructional ancillary resources are up-to-date and available to instructors when needed; handles first-line troubleshooting of instructor and student issues prior to bringing them forward to the Program Manager; updates the Program Manager of the issues as they develop; responsible for creating, and executing the monthly equipment maintenance schedule. In addition the incumbent will occasionally provide instruction within their specific area of expertise.
||The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of 8 years experience in the Ontario Fire Service from the Fire Operations or Training Divisions. In addition, the successful candidate will have the Ontario Fire Marshal Trainer Facilitator or Master Trainer Facilitator designation. Excellent computer skills and written and oral communication skills are a must.
