| Position Summary |
Reporting to the Manager, Finance and Administration, the Multimedia Image/Video Producer is responsible for the development, production, and maintenance of photo and video content as well as the creation of short documentaries for web consumption on the University’s main website. Responsibilities also include the development of storyboards, captions and general writing using journalism methodologies to cover stories about the University of Guelph-Humber. The Multimedia Image/Video Producer contributes to the University of Guelph–Humber’s web strategy through suggesting innovative ideas and applications, including creating multimedia content for mobile and social media. The incumbent contributes to and supports social media functions and provides day-to-day leadership and expertise related to multimedia projects to the Web Services Department. |
| Qualifications |
The successful candidate will possess a three-year diploma or university degree in a related field and at least five years of experience in the field of digital media production creating images and videos in a professional environment. Familiarity with industry trends, standards, and best practices is required. The successful candidate will also possess a strong knowledge of software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator. |
