| Position Summary |
In addition to a reduced load of teaching responsibilities, the incumbent will assume responsibility for the coordination of the Television Writing and Producing program. The coordination activities include the design of curriculum, both full and part-time staffing of courses, and scheduling. Position responsibilities also include: advising students; facilitating course delivery; assessing student progress and achievement; consulting with colleagues, coordinating program advisory committee meetings, working with employers; recruiting students; promoting the program; orienting new students; developing and staffing of Continuing Education courses and fee-for-service activity; and assuming responsibility for other special projects related to the program. |
| Qualifications |
Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, as well as relevant professional skills/credentials in television writing and producing with a minimum of ten years related professional experience. Qualifications include: demonstrated teaching experience in a post-secondary institution with an understanding of and competency in the teaching/learning profession with a learner-centred approach; along with previous experience with orientation and recruitment; as well as the ability to arrange field placements; excellent teamwork; presentation, interpersonal, organization and communication skills; and a clear commitment to a strong customer service orientation. |

As per Article 14.03 A 3 of the Academic Collective Agreement, a Coordinator’s allowance will be paid in addition to the successful candidate’s salary as a Professor. |
