Title #2013-026 Professor, Hospitality Management (Hotel and Restaurant)
Position Summary The incumbent will be responsible for teaching courses within the Hospitality Management- Hotel and Restaurant Diploma Program and/or Post Graduate Certificate in Hospitality & Tourism Operations Management. The candidate will be responsible for creating an effective learning environment, facilitating learning, classroom management, assessing student progress, and curriculum development. The successful candidate will be required to teach one of the following subject areas: Principles in Hospitality and Tourism, Marketing and Sales, Hotel Revenue Management, Finance, Rooms Division Management, and/or Strategic Business Planning.
Qualifications The successful candidate must have a relevant degree at the MBA or MA level, along with a minimum of seven years experience in the hospitality and/or tourism industry. In addition, the successful candidate will have demonstrated teaching ability, an understanding of the learning process, and be dedicated to student success. Due to the nature of the role, the ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational, teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Compensation Academic start salaries are determined by qualifications and years of related experience as detailed in the current Collective Agreement for Academic Employees.
