Title : National Ad Sales Manager

Responsibilities :
·Lead and manage a National Sales Team to achieve revenue goals
· Coach and develop to improve sales team skill levels in all areas of the sales process including business development
·Interact at a senior level with Agency and Client personnel – be visible in the industry through various industry and company functions
·Direct KAP initiatives and monitor, create strategic initiatives to grow market share.
·Provide ongoing weekly revenue forecasting for all products and ensure team manages pricing, contracts and inventory appropriately
·Assist in production of sales tools and research material to enhance and assist sales efforts
·Interact with other departments (Finance, Marketing, Research and Production) to assure the seamless deliver of quality services
·Troubleshoot major issues elevated from the Account Manager level
·Support initiatives that drive improvements in sales standards and processes
·Proven ability to successfully manage staff in a unionized environment
·Act as a change agent to create desired departmental culture
Requirements : ·Post-secondary degree/diploma from a recognized institution in a related field
·Minimum 10 years progressive sales management experience, with a minimum of 5 years of people management experience
·Proven reputation for leading/executing a client focused sales team(s)
·Media advertising sales experience preferred
·Exceptional and established leadership skills including: strong written and verbal communication ability, demonstrated strategic capability without sacrificing an attention to detail, ability to set priorities and maintain team focus, ability to accurately assess the skills and motivations of team members;
·Outgoing, high impact presence balanced by being mature, secure and self confident;
·A self starter, capable of working independently with minimal supervision and direction
·Must demonstrate excellent business judgment/instincts balanced by an understanding of the role and importance of sales measurement
