Position Overview The wireless solutions specialist person will carry a quota based on the wireless Fortinet access point (FAP) family of products. The sales specialist will be assigned a geographic territory and will be chartered to drive FAP sales in that territory.
The wireless specialist is an overlay position in 2013. The wireless specialist will work closely with the Fortinet field organization including channel account managers, vertical market account managers and major account managers.
The wireless specialist will be responsible for working with the Fortinet field sales teams to select a set of accounts based on criteria set by vertical markets and account selection by the Fortinet field salesperson.
Working together with the Fortinet field sales teams the wireless solutions specialist will develop a target list of installed base opportunities and prospective accounts, the wireless sales specialist will directly cover new and installed accounts.
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years experience selling wireless networking technologies is required. A minimum of 5 years selling networking equipment is also required. An in depth understanding of network access technologies is required. Experience in selling security networking equipment is highly desirable.
Reporting:
The wireless sales specialist will report directly to the VP Wireless Solutions based in Sunnyvale, CA. The position requires daily interaction with the field sales team members to communicate account status and relay progress.
