As a Sr. Financial Analyst you will play a key role supporting the Sales and Marketing organizations with data analytics, planning and forecasting as we work to scale beyond $1B in revenue. Fortinet is experiencing rapid growth and this is an excellent opportunity to help define the financial policies and practices that will further enable Sales and Marketing success. This is a backfill for our current Financial Analyst who has been promoted within the company; as such there will be future career opportunities for this position as well.
As their primary Finance Business partner, you will produce various financial reporting packages and dashboards, from report development through regular distribution to management. Using your knowledge of sales data and analytics you will provide insight to key business metrics and monitor financial performance against plan and forecasts. You will need to be able to analyze and summarize large volumes of data to report sales pipeline, product forecasting, discounts, gross margin and cost tracking by product line and geography and work with Sales and Marketing leadership to shape business strategy based on the analytics and metrics. You will develop models and report customer industry segment/vertical information and ensure data integrity across various sales and accounting systems. Additionally you will support the month-end close process and prepare variance analysis and assist in ad hoc reporting and financial projects; provide input and recommendations for streamlining processes and making process improvements
Ideal applicants will possess a Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field, with an MBA preferred, coupled with 3-7+ years of relevant FP&A experience, preferably in the technology industry. Advanced MS Excel and financial modeling skills are required; Hyperion experience a plus. You should be proficient in manipulating systems tools and large amounts of data with a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented, growing, market leading technology company. Culturally you must be able to thrive in a dynamic start-up like environment, with a strong sense of urgency and be adaptable to change. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required as are strong interpersonal skills to work effectively across multiple functions and with varied levels of management. A demonstrated track record of superior quantitative and analytical skills paired with being detail-oriented, accurate and thorough with strong business acumen and ability to see the big picture. You must have solid fundamental accounting knowledge and be a highly motivated self-starter who can work independently or collaborate as part of team and be results-driven and comfortable handling multiple deadlines.
