Position Overview
Fortinet is looking for an experienced Software Dev QA Engineer to join our Interface Development team to focus on FortiOS GUI testing. As a team member, you would be responsible for testing the web applications for managing FortiGate firewall appliances. You will be working closely with the interface development team to verify new features, automate test cases and improve interface usability and performance.
Job Responsibilities
  • Execute feature and bug fix testing for the web interface for FortiOS based products using a combination of manual and automated testing techniques.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects found during testing.
  • Automate front-end testing using Selenium and other automation tools.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure defects are correctly identified and fixed.


Job Skills Required 

  • 3 - 5 years of software testing experience
  • Demonstrated ability to logically and analytically troubleshoot web applications
  • Experience with web application testing using tools such as Yslow, Google Page Speed, Selenium or other testing tools an asset.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, and switching
  • Knowledge of general QA procedures and methodologies, as well as software development fundamentals
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate well with other departments 
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear and reproducible problem reports, and test results
  • Demonstrated knowledge of firewalls, Linux and packet capture utilities like Wireshark
  • Demonstrated skills in scripting languages such as Python, bash or Perl are considered assets
Educational Requirements
A degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or related field
