Title Painter
Position Overview The Painter position reports to the Paint Supervisor and is responsible for the painting of all Company owned and Customer aircraft.
Responsibilities • Aircraft stripping
• Spraying stripper , and removing stripper with squeegees and pressure washer
• Stripping parts
• Aircraft and aircraft parts prepping
• Orbital and hand sanding
• Die-grinding
• Scotch-brite scrubbing
• Masking of aircraft and hangar
• Complete etch and alodine process
• Tacking aircraft skin
• Polishing aluminum
• Paint design layout
• Aircraft painting
• Applying paint with electrostatic or other paint spraying equipment
• Cleaning paint guns and electrostatic paint unit
• Parts priming and painting
• Operate company lift equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills required:
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Self-starter
• Enjoys working in a team environment
• Able to work in an industrial environment
• Must be physically fit and able to climb ladders, stairs, work in small and/or awkward spaces and lift up to 40 lbs
• Able and willing to work shift work


Certification and Experience Required:
• Minimum 2 years experience in an autobody shop or completion of an autobody repair course preferred
• 1 –3 years proven painting experience in aircraft, automotive or related industry
• Preference for CAMC (CCAA) Aviation Painter Program
