Marketing to members, this is a great role for an articulate service-oriented individual who has a consultative approach to their craft.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Insurance, the position of Insurance Advisor is responsible for increasing insurance program awareness and sales by conducting presentations to professional members and providing insurance advice and recommendations.
Licensed to sell individual life and health insurance in BC, you will analyze existing member insurance coverage’s and present detailed comparisons with client programs.
You will also analyze the current financial situation and needs of members and their families and develop a personalized program of insurance for them.
You will be responsible for raising the profile of client insurance programs and responding to inquiries from members and their families.
The successful candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and has 5-10 years of experience in the insurance field and a proven track record in sales. The CEBS or GBA designation would be an asset.
In addition to having excellent customer service and communication skills, your broad skill base includes business planning and development of marketing materials and presentations.
This position involves travel throughout BC and some evening and weekend work. Valid driver’s license and access to a car required.
