Position Summary:
Critigen is looking for a Senior Project Manager (SPM) to perform project management activities related to risked based inspection and condition based programs for the ongoing reliability of pressure vessels, tanks, relief devices, and process piping. The SPM will track the performance and quality of Facility Integrities contractors, including but not limited to asset counts, weekly percentages of contractor job completeness, facilitation of kickoff meetings, and clarification of asset/software issues that may become apparent. Reporting to the Tank Integrity Supervisor, the SPM is responsible to assure the compliance and integrity of fixed assets within the Enterprise mechanical integrity program.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leads and assists the contractors with the appropriate inspection technologies based on corrosion mechanisms  
  • Act as liaison between inspection contractors and Enterprise Facility Mechanic Integrity.
  • Reviews all inspection documentation throughout projects to assure technical accuracy and that the contractor is utilizing qualified personnel.
  • Performs QA/QC of inspection data and the MI database to assure accuracy and completion.
  • Assures corporate asset integrity standards are being followed. Assures stationary and structural asset integrity programs meet all of Enterprise’s regulatory and code requirements.
  • Stay current with regulations, industry standards, inspection and repair methods, and other applicable technologies
  • Compiles inspection documentation from the contractors, and maintains the Mechanical Integrity Equipment History files as required.
  • Leads project kickoff/closure meetings with internal customers for RBI implementations.
  • Answers technical question from internal Enterprise employees.
  • Provides technical expertise to maintain the integrity and health of Enterprise RBI database to assure compliance and reliability.
  • Holds self-accountable to commitments while utilizing the appropriate resources to meet goals.
  •  Liaison between contractors and facility operations.
  •  Strong understanding of the following standards: API-510, 570, 653, 580, 571, AWS-CWI, and STP SP001. Certification is a distinct advantage.
  • Must have strong understanding of non-destructive testing (NDE) techniques and their application.
  • Experienced in maintenance and reliability systems and practices e.g. CMMS, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Visio, Meridium, etc.
  • Autonomous and a self-starter capable of independent action and decision-making.
  • Knowledgeable in Fit-for-Service techniques (API 579) including Finite Element Analysis (FEA’s) and where and how to apply the technology.
  • Must have strong understanding of Risk Based Inspection methodologies. Capstone or Meridium software specific functions.
  • The SPM will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Certified in the following standards: API-510, API-570, and API-580
  • Certifiable in the following standards: API-653, STI SP001, and AWS-CWI or API-577
  • Previously certified or equivalent experience in UT, MT, and PT level II to the American Society for Non-Destructive Testing ASNT-TC-1A 
  • Five (5) years experience in asset integrity, maintenance, or reliability in the petrochemical industry specializing in fixed asset integrity.
  • Minimum 5 (five) years project management experience.

  • Has strong ability to manage fixed asset inspection programs; understands how standards, procedures, processes, and systems affect compliance, integrity, and asset health.

  • Experienced in the use and implementation of maintenance and reliability systems and practices (e.g. CMMS, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Visio, etc.).
  • Experience in providing guidance to others in troubleshooting and analytical problem solving.
  • Ability to drive change. Strong sense of urgency.
  • Track record of meeting deadlines, working independently, and practicing good organizational skills.
  • Autonomous and a self-starter capable of independent action and decision-making.

  • The ability to create and build a sound relationship with representatives from both third party contractors and Enterprise personnel to assure an effective relationship is maintained.
