Position Description

Unit 3B operates as a cardiac/medicine unit and cares for patients post myocardial infarction and also for patients who might need telemetry monitoring. Unit 3B also cares for unstable medical patients including patients with CVA, pneumonia and diabetes.

Employment Status:  Temporary Part Time (up to 6 months)
  • Graduate of a recognized College of School of Nursing and preferably hold a Baccalaureate degree 
  • Current certification from the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current B.C.L.S. and a post graduate course in Cardiology
  • Individuals with two years of recent telemetry and/or general medical/surgical experience and successful completion of the Coronary Care I course will be given preference
  • Satisfactory attendance and performance record required
