| Position Description |
Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for technical & administrative functions relating to Omnicell cabinets, Unit Dose dispensing, related manufacturing and prepackaging, controlled substances distribution, order entry, and preparation of Sterile IV and Chemotherapy admixtures for the Hospital patients. The primary focus of this position will be the administration of the Omnicell system as it relates to the drug distribution systems at all three sites. The technician must also be able to assist the Pharmacist with technical and clerical functions in an effort to attain a high level of clinical activity for the patients. Qualifications: - Successful completion of a Pharmacy Technician program from an accredited community college and/or currently actively pursuing the regulations required by the pharmacy technician profession with completion of the Bridging Education Program or Structured Practical Training by January 1, 2015 and are registered or are eligible and in the process of registering with OCP
- Experience with Omnicell system administration is an asset
- Hospital pharmacy experience is required
- Ability to work on assigned projects with minimal supervision is an asset.
- Satisfactory attendance and performance record required
