| Position Description |
The successful candidate will work within an inter-professional team on the General Medicine Unit. Responsibilities include the assessment of adults with a variety of physical/cognitive impairments and disabilities and implementation of patient-centred treatment and/or education programs to facilitate/improve daily function. Candidates must be available for all shifts including weekends. Status: Temporary Part Time (up to one year) Qualifications: - A graduate of an accredited School of Occupational Therapy
- Member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- Membership in O.S.O.T. and/or C.A.O.T. preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge and a minimum of 12 months experience working with patients in an acute inpatient setting
- Demonstrated effectiveness working independently as well as liaising with community resources
- Ability to work collaboratively with an inter-professional team
- Previous experience supervising support personnel preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Satisfactory attendance and performance record required
