Position Description


Job Description:
Reporting to the Patient Education program, the student will assist with a variety of project work related to the Patient Education Coordinator and Health Sciences Library.
You will work with the Patient Educator Coordinator to:
  • Research and catalogue patient education resources available to cancer patient provincially, nationally and internationally
  • Create a list of reliable Internet resources available to cancer patients
  • Support the patient education coordinator in preparing resources that are web-based

  • Currently attending a post-secondary program preferably undergraduate or graduate in Library Sciences
  • Solid research skills including internet researches
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • A self starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong time and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task
  • Proficient with MS Office environment(Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Satisfactory attendance and performance are required
