| Position Description |
Status: Temporary Casual Key Qualifications: - Grade 12 Education or equivalent
- Previous related experience in a hospital setting a definite asset
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential
- Pleasant and courteous telephone manner is essential
- Positive work performance and attendance record essential
- Strong communication in English is essential
- Computer skills definite asset
Position Summary: - Answering phones from outside and within hospital
- Transfer calls where applicable
- Working knowledge of computer system and accurately convey information as requested
- Implement procedures for emergency codes
- Assign and test phones and report any equipment malfunctions
- Input support service calls using computer software
- Provide front-line service to all customers, pages out tasks, follows up on task completion and customer requests using computer software
- Makes appropriate changes to rosters
- Processes work orders for maintenance staff when needed
- Any other tasks as assigned
