The Lease Administration department at our Home Office is currently has an opening for the position of Lease Administrator, reporting directly to the Manager, Lease Administration. Please note: This is a 6-month contract.
The key responsibilities of this position include:
Process Rental Advice Notices and Year-End Common Area Maintenance statements for approximately 60 theatres.
Confirm assessed values, ensure that the Landlord’s methodology is in compliance with lease agreements and provincial legislation, and process interim and final property tax payments for an assigned group of properties.
Identify cost savings through in-depth analysis of landlord invoices and effective lease interpretation.
Negotiate with landlords to resolve outstanding or contentious issues to the benefit of the Company.
Regularly maintain the property management data-base and update departmental reports to accurately reflect the Company’s lease commitments and financial obligations.
Provide support to Lease Administration Team on an as-need basis.
The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education and/or three to five years of Lease Administration experience.
Strong lease interpretation skills.
Solid analytical and accounting abilities.
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and able to negotiate effectively.
Thorough understanding of occupancy costs.
Superior Microsoft Office skills.
Strong organizational skills and able to prioritize and manage multiple activities.
Works well under pressure and is committed to meeting deadlines.
Self-motivation and a positive, professional attitude is a must.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft 9.0 an asset
Fluency in French an asset, but not a requirement.
