The Marketing department has an opening for the position of Assistant Product Manager, eCRM, reporting directly to the Loyalty Program Manager.
We are looking for an outstanding individual who will be an important contributor Marketing team at Cineplex Entertainment. If you are passionate about movies and email marketing, and you are looking for a good opportunity to demonstrate your skills and experience, this may be the role for you.
In this role the candidate will support the Loyalty Program Manager in developing, implementing and tracking various email campaigns and eNewsletter initiatives related to the growth and expansion of our loyalty program SCENE and our Cineplex.com eNewsletters.
The development and execution of Cineplex SCENE email campaigns and Cineplex eNewsletters:
Develop and manage email communications and related promotions
Execute email campaigns and eNewsletter communications including scheduling, data queries, creative direction, copy-writing, editing, targeting, monitoring data, and tracking the results
Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners (agencies, advertisers, partners) to facilitate the execution of email marketing campaigns
Editing and curating content on a weekly basis as a result of the new strategy to increase personalization and relevance of this communication vehicle
Execute integrated email programs in support of film studios
Work collaboratively with Interactive team to develop custom creative
Create email marketing campaigns to promote Cineplex products or services
Ensure marketing message is conveyed clearly and delivered properly to prospects
Ensure messages are sent in proper language, format and template
Proofread emails for clarity, grammar, and spelling
Include specific graphics, incentives, and detailed descriptions
Include persuasive 'call-to-actions'
Ensure messages are mobile-friendly
Ensure email campaigns remain automated and enable subscribers to personalize their subscriptions In addition, routinely tests for both functionality and quality of the emails that are deployed
Develop strategies and tactics to support the growth of Cineplex’s user base
Develop strategies and tactics to engage current users
Track and manage campaign budgeting and invoicing when required
This role has the above responsibilities for both Cineplex Scene email campaigns and the Cineplex eNewsletter
Support Cineplex measurement & reporting of email channel and associated tactics:
Provide email and campaign post analysis
Make use of various campaign tracking dashboards and trends; recommend any improvements or changes based on these results
Work closely with the company’s eCRM and marketing team to provide insights and learnings
Track and analyze performance of email promotions/activities and pro-actively identify opportunities for improvement
Manage and report detailed analysis of all campaigns including establishment of measurable response rates, conversion rates and ROI
Design and deploy tests to optimize key metrics
Use statistical analysis and reports to create and measure campaigns
Coordinate and monitor integrity of databases and lists
Develop list segmentation for email campaigns
Communicate requirements to cross functional teams and third parties
Help in continuing to develop the email personalization strategy
Team player with strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
Skills and Experience:
A Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Program or College Diploma in Marketing, Communications and/or Business or a minimum of 3 years of related Email Marketing experience
Exemplary written and oral communication skills including writing, editing and proofreading experience. Candidate must be articulate and creative and understand how to adapt vernacular for the email marketing and the general online space
Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage own workload while multi-tasking in order to meet strict deadlines
Highly energetic team player with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within the Marketing team and other cross functional groups
Knowledge and experience with analysis and campaign measurement
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
Knowledge and experience with various email platforms and technologies
Experience in writing and curating online content
Strong interest in and passion for email, online marketing, online retailing, and movies
Experience with loyalty programs would be considered a tremendous asset
Experience with campaign management tools, Business Intelligence tools (Tableau) analytics an asset
Bilingualism would be considered an asset
