Cineplex Digital Solutions in Waterloo currently has an opening for the position of Account Manager, reporting to the Manager, Accounts – Cineplex Digital Solutions. Please note: This is a 14-month maternity leave contract position and will be based at our Cineplex Media office, located at 102 Atlantic Avenue, Toronto, ON M6K 1X9.

The Account Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day business activities of our key clients. The successful candidate must be a self-starter with a positive "can do" attitude and with superior communication and interpersonal skills. They will provide superb client management and relationship development while executing regular program activity & creating and implementing strategic initiatives. The successful candidate is a leader who loves working as part of a team, enjoys the challenge of solving problems, and who inspires to deliver high quality results for our clients. The key areas of responsibilities of this position include:
 
Build Relationships:
  • Build world class relationships with day to day client teams and act as the main point of contact for your clients.
  • Continuously provide thought leadership, insight and communication to the client to ensure expectations are managed and objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver quality.
 
Manage the Work:
  • Provide quality control of all communications, data, reports, contracts and deliverables for the client, while identifying and maintaining operational best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver solutions that support client objectives.
  • Participate in preparation and presentation of strategic recommendations to client.
  • Strong focus on account growth

 

Plan Ahead:
  • Analysis of business results and ability to report on key insights, developing action plans to address opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain current knowledge of the client’s business, marketing programs, brands, competitors, strategies, etc., developing expertise in their channel to best engage the client at a highly strategic level.
  • Work closely with the Account Directors to identify and develop client growth opportunities.
 
Manage the Money:
  • Responsible for accurate management and reporting of client budgets on a regular basis. Support the Account Director with short & long term forecasting of income.
 
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
 
  • Minimum of 3 years of. experience in a similar role at an advertising agency or marketing firm
  • Business development skills
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Proactive, problem-solver and solutions-oriented
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills
  • Exceptionally organized and able to prioritize quickly
  • Strong team orientation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of brand management; marketing and advertising; digital media; financial and budget management;
  • Knowledge of media sales & creative workflow management
