Cineplex Entertainment currently has an opening for the position of Project Manager, reporting to Manager, PMO. This position will be based at our Cineplex Digital Solutions (CDS) division, 610 McMurray Road, Suite 1, Waterloo, Ontario, N2V 2E7.

The successful candidate will apply project management skills and experience in the technology industry to define and implement Digital Signage solutions for our clients. You must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills.  You will collaborate with clients, business development and technical staff to assess needs and ensure that projects are completed on time, on target and within budget.
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and update Project Management Plans for large Digital Media projects including: resources, procurement, communication, quality, risk and schedule planning
  • Execute various activities to deliver projects, such as the work plan, schedule, communication plan, a risk log and management of it, a communication plan, an issues log and resolution, change requests, etc.
  • Manage day-to-day implementation of a project resources, including leading project managers, coordinators, vendors and technical resources through all phases of a project from planning through to closure.
  • Manage project budgets up to $3M.
  • Receive appropriate sign-off from project sponsors and stakeholders for each project
  • Primary client-facing contact with the customer
  • Primary contact with project sponsor for both internal and external projects
  • Attend prospective customer meetings with our business development team to help define scope and work with our system designer/solutions team to cost out the solution
  • Lead and contribute content to proposals
  • Attend client sponsor and stakeholder project meetings
  • Develop and deliver client project status reports on a weekly basis
  • Contribute to the improvement of project management best practices
  • Complete project lessons learned
  • Some travel may be required
 
Qualifications and Experience
  • 7-10 years managing complex systems integration projects and/or digital media or Audio Video projects
  • 5-7 years in a client-facing role
  • Have strong communication skills to provide pertinent and precise information to the appropriate team – client, delivery and operation team
  • Advanced knowledge of project lifecycle methodologies
  • Advanced ability to identify and define problems and make recommendations for resolution
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • 3 years business analysis experience – requirements gathering and analysis would be considered an asset
  • 2 - 5 years related experience in Digital Signage or A/V projects would be considered an asset
  • Experience with business process design/workflow would be considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of Clarizen and SharePoint would be considered an asset
  • PMP certification would be considered an asset
