The Digital Commerce department has an immediate opening for the position of Digital Commerce Merchandising Manager, reporting to the Director, eCommerce Merchandising.
 
The Digital Commerce Merchandising Manager is responsible for assisting the Director with day to day activities related to the marketing calendar and all its projects/programs; projects that will enhance the online shopping experience, drive conversion and increase overall sales. This person will assist in all facets of the company’s marketing sales cycle including the development of content and appearance, third party relationships, and the overall effectiveness and financial results of the e-tailing effort, for both packaged movies and electronic sell-through product. They will need to be well versed in understanding our customers and interacting with the various functional areas within Cineplex to deliver the desired on-line customer experience. They should be passionate about movies and experienced in the e-commerce business to ensure we deliver on our promise. 
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Marketing
    • Search for upcoming movies and add them to list
    • Build, update and maintain marketing calendar
    • Ensure all major events/holidays and marketing campaigns are added
    • Build campaign assets, pricing tables, sku’s for handoff and execution
    • Communicate calendar updates across Cineplex’s departments using different programs
    • Assist with the development of effective integrated marketing campaigns that raise awareness and drive customer acquisition and retention
    • Ensure consistency and quality of messaging and accurate positioning on site for all projects
    • Track assets and coordinate with staff for the upcoming/expiration of campaigns
    • Support the production of marketing collateral including web pages, sales sheets, brochures, case studies, white papers, presentations, product demos, videos to assist with the impact and efficiency of the company's marketing plans in order to meet business needs and drive business results
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of our customers and target audience, incorporating key customer messaging and proof points into marketing collateral
    • Contact potential marketing partners and engage them on new partnerships
    • Write, edit and post content as needed
    • Become a Social Marketing expert
  • Digital Content management
    • Review website to ensure movies are live and content is accurate
    • Make note and reach out to third parties if needed
    • Update pricing tables daily
    • Update license terms and expiry dates as needed
  • Customer Service
    • Work closely with the Customer service team to resolve any customer facing issue in a timely and professional manner
    • Provide service/direction as needed
    • Monitor customer issues and trends and make recommendations
  • Consumer Electronic Devices
    • Review device content and test frequently
    • Understand devices and keep list which content usage rules within the Service
  • Communication/Other
    • Collaborate/build relationships with other staff internally and third party.
    • Thrive in a very fast paced, dynamic environment.
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Participate in Store quality testing and debugging, ensure Store is functional
    • Create reports and presentations as required
    • Provide support to internal departments and prepare for meetings as needed
    • Other responsibilities and projects as required by the Director, eCommerce Merchandising
 
Education & Experience Required:
  • Must have a degree/diploma in Marketing/Project Management/Media or equivalent experience
  • Strong experience in developing, maintaining and delivering on marketing strategies to meet company objectives
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Minimum 1 - 3 years of experience managing multiple tasks
  • Minimum 1 year of eCommerce experience
  • Must have shopped online and be web savvy
  • Minimum 1 year of Customer Service experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Team player
  • A self-starter with a hands-on orientation
  • Experience using ATG, Google analytics, Excel reporting
